Ulterior Vision Production’s Yahan Sabhi Gyani Hain is the story of a girl who has memory loss.
Pappu Tiwari (Atul Srivastava) lives with his wife, Manju (Meena Naithani), daughter, Goldie (Apoorva Arora), brother-in-law, Laddoo (Neeraj Sood), sister-in-law, their son, and parents-in-law (Radhe Shyam Dixit and Manju Gupta).
Goldie’s marriage is in the process of being fixed with MLA Kanni’s (Vineet Kumar) son, Rakesh (Shashi Ranjan). But since the prospective groom’s family is demanding dowry, Goldie is not in favour of the marriage. Goldie is against the dowry system. If her parents agree to give dowry, it is because an astrologer has predicted that they would have a windfall soon. Goldie runs away from home as she does not want the marriage to take place.
Anyway, after being spurned by her boyfriend, Goldie returns home but she has a fall in the bathroom, leading to loss of memory. Instead of seeking medical advice, Goldie’s parents seek the help of the astrologer. It is only later that they consult the doctor who tells them that a fall has led to her loss of memory and that she would regain her memory in due course of time.
Here, the marriage preparations are afoot. Aware that Goldie is not in favour of the association, her friends record the conversation (about dowry) between Goldie’s father and Rakesh’s dad. The media exposes the dowry conversation, after which the police lands there and arrests Rakesh and his father. Meanwhile, Goldie regains her memory. Later, Pappu Tiwari contests the Assembly elections in place of Kanni — and wins them.
Anant Narain Tripathi and Jyoti Sharma have written an asinine story and an idiotic screenplay. The drama is so weak that it is actually embarrassing to see it unfold on the screen. Even the dialogues are pathetic.
Atul Srivastava acts well as Pappu Tiwari. Neeraj Sood performs ably as Laddoo. Apoorva Arora gives a good account of herself as Goldie. Meena Naithani lends decent support in the role of Manju. Vineet Kumar is adequate as MLA Kanni. Shashi Ranjan is okay as Rakesh. Radhe Shyam Dixit and Manju Gupta lend routine support as Pappu’s parents-in-law. Gulista is okay as Savita. Others are average.
Anant Narain Tripathi’s direction is terribly weak. Sadhu Tiwari’s music is ordinary. Rohit Sharma’s lyrics are commonplace. Background music (by Sadhu Tiwari and Nishant Salil) is dull. Shirish Desai’s camerawork is ordinary. Bhaskar Gupta’s sets are commonplace. Editing (Rajesh Pandey) leaves a lot to be desired.
On the whole, Yahan Sabhi Gyani Hain is a disaster of a film.
