IFTPC JOINS GLOBAL CREATIVE ALLIANCE | 21 January, 2021

India today (21st January) became the latest country to join the Global Creative Alliance (GCA), a group of 22 film and TV trade associations from around the world. The virtual signing ceremony took place at the fifth edition of Vidnet, the OTT summit of Indiantelevision.com. The two signatories were PACT’s managing director of global strategy, Dawn McCarthy-Simpson, and members of the Indian Film and TV Producers Council (IFTPC), viz. J.D. Majethia (chairman TV-Web), Shyamashis Bhattacharya (director, IFTPC), Abhimanyu Singh and Nitin Vaidya (director, IFTPC).

The GCA has countries like the UK, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Singapore, South Korea and the USA, amongst others, as its members. The objective of the GCA is to encourage more effective international collaboration between producers and to increase opportunities for co-productions.
