Actress Raveena Tandon was attacked by some people on the evening of June 1 outside the building in which she lives at Bandra in Bombay. She had stepped in to defend her driver who was being abused by some members of the public after he dropped her and was reversing the car for parking in the compound.
Three ladies walking on the road outside the building allegedly scolded the driver for not being careful while driving the car in reverse mode. They later alleged that they were hit by the car. A video in which Raveena, who came to her driver’s rescue when the crowd which had gathered there got unruly, was seen pacifying the public went viral. The comments which accompanied the video mentioned that the actress was drunk, but it was clear that she was sober. An interesting point was that while the video showing Raveena trying to reason out with the miscreants was being circulated, there was no video showing the ladies injured or bleeding, as alleged in the video.
Later, Raveena and her husband, distributor Anil Thadani, visited the local police station and so did the three ladies and their family members. Both the parties to the dispute said, they did not want to file complaints.
