CRACKDOWN ON ILLEGAL FILM SHOOTINGS WITH FOREIGN JUNIOR ARTISTES | 7 June, 2024

The police has cracked down on film shootings involving foreign junior artistes working on the sets without relevant visas to work in India. Shooting of a film with such foreigners was halted on June 5 at Opera House in Bombay.

The Foreigners Regional Registration Office is inquiring into the incident. According to the police, the film was being shot in India and the UK.

Of the dozen foreign junior artistes, only around six had business visas. The others, said the police, had arrived on tourist visas, which do not permit them to participate in film shootings.
