The Bombay city traffic police’s WhatsApp helpline received another threat message on November 7 for actor Salman Khan and an unnamed lyricist. This is the fourth threat for the star in the last two weeks.
The sender claimed to be from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang and demanded Rs. 5 crore from Salman to spare his life. He also threatened to murder the lyricist.
The latest threat came just two days after a Karnataka resident, Bhikaram Bishnoi, sent a message to the same helpline number demanding Rs. 5 crore from the actor, claiming to be the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi. He was later arrested. The police said, he was from the Bishnoi community but had no links with the Bishnoi gang.
The latest person to issue the threat wrote that they would not spare the song writer who wrote the song Main Sikandar hoon for Salman’s under-production film, Sikandar, for which the actor is currently shooting in Hyderabad. The message further stated that whoever helped Salman Khan would not be spared. It added, no one can help the lyricist.
The Worli (Bombay) police have registered an FIR for extortion and criminal intimidation. The police said that the SIM card used to send the message was issued in Karnataka and its location was also found in Karnataka itself.
