‘TU HAI MERI KIRAN’ REVIEW | 23 October, 2026

Echelon Productions, PAM Studios and AND Productions’ Tu Hai Meri Kiran (UA) is the story of a young lady who finds a cell phone which connects her to a young man who lives 10 years in the past. In other words, the two connect but in different time zones.

Kiran (Sonakshi Sinha) is married to Riyan (Ankit Gupta). One day, she finds a cell phone in her house. Through that phone, she gets connected to Samar (Zaheer Iqbal) who also has found a cell phone near a roadside tea-stall. Kiran and Samar realise that they are in two different time zones, ten years apart. Samar soon falls in love with Kiran and succeeds in changing her past while simultaneously improving his future of 10 years. In the process, he marries Kiran. What happens finally?

Karan Rawal’s story is so ridiculous that it won’t make sense to many among the audience. His screenplay is more confusing than entertaining because of the past and present time periods. Frankly, the entire drama appears so insipid and meaningless that it doesn’t appeal one bit. Karan Rawal’s dialogues, with additional dialogues by Belal Khalique, are okay.

Sonakshi Sinha performs ably as Kiran. Zaheer Iqbal is alright as Samar. Ankit Gupta is so-so as Riyan. Purnendu Bhattacharya lends average support in the role of Kiran’s father, Mahesh Mittal. Sherlin Seth is so-so as Kiran’s friend, Sakshi. Zarina Wahab is okay as Samar’s mother, Seema. Others pass muster.

Karan Rawal’s direction is better than his weak script, but that’s almost of no consequence. Music (OAFF & Savera) is ordinary. Lyrics (Darzi, OAFF & Savera) are alright. Song picturisatioins (by Vijay A. Ganguly and Rahul Shetty) aren’t exciting enough. Advait Nemlekar and Shalom Benjamin’s background music is nothing to shout about. Utkarsh Marulkar’s camerawork is so-so. Vikram Dahiya’s action and stunt scenes are ordinary. Sunil Nigvekar’s production designing doesn’t really add much to the film. Atanu Mukherjee’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Tu Hai Meri Kiran will face rejection at the turnstiles.
