‘MRUTYUCHAKRA’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 23 October, 2026

Shree Mahadev Film Production and Adhyansh Motion Picture’s Mrutyuchakra (Marathi; UA) is a murder mystery.

A celebrated doctor is mysteriously murdered after an extravagant party at his secluded farmhouse. SP Sanjana Sabnis investigates the murder case. She unravels a web of greed, betrayal, forbidden relationships and buried secrets.

Dr. Sudhir Nikam has written a routine murder mystery with hardly any novelty. The screenplay, penned by Vilas Waghmode and Dr. Sudhir Nikam, is not half as engaging as it should’ve been. The drama holds the audience’s attention at times but its grip slackens at several places. The mystery solving is not consistently entertaining. Vilas Waghmode’s dialogues are fairly nice.

Shashank Shende does well as Janakaka. Akshaya Gurav is fair as SP Sanjana Sabnis. Pushkraj Chirputkar is alright as Guru. Aastad Kale does a fair job as Jaydev Rane. Krutika Tulaskar is okay in the role of Nandini. Sanika Banaraswale is good as Dr. Chitra. Varsha Dandale, Sanjay Shejwal, Shalaka Gade, Shara Gaikwad, Jitendra Pol, Anil Rabade and Rohit Deshmukh lend routine support.

Vilas Waghmode and Anuprita Kadu-Gangawane’s direction is average. Kedar Divekar’s music, and Valay Mulgund’s lyrics are so-so. Kedar Divekar’s background music is fair. Nishant Bhagwat’s camerawork is okay. Mayur Pawar’s production designing, and Kunal Vedpathak’s art direction are average. Rahul Bhatankar’s editing should’ve been sharper.

On the whole, Mrutyuchakra is too dull to make a mark at the box-office.

Released on 23-10-’26 at Maxus Andheri (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru UJM Networks N Entertainments LLP. Publicity & opening: poor.
