This week’s JABARIYA JODI opened to dull houses. Shows in ‘B’ class centres had to be cancelled at some places due to lack of audience.

Khandaani Shafakhana fared miserably in the first week. It opened to poor houses and managed only Rs. 0.75 crore on the first day. Collections increased marginally on Saturday (Rs. 0.85 crore). Even the usual jump in collections on Sunday did not help as the day closed at just Rs. 1.20 crore. After a weekend of Rs. 2.80 crore, collections on the weekdays were pathetic: Monday – Rs. 0.30 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.30 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.25 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.20 crore. By netting Rs. 1.05 crore in the weekdays, the film took its total for the first week to Rs. 3.85 crore.

Chase – No Mercy To Crime was mauled mercilessly by the public at the turnstiles. It collected poorly in the first week.

Fast & Furious: Hobbs And Shaw (dubbed) and the English original of the same name started off wonderfully but collections fell markedly during the weekdays. Yet, it managed a very impressive first week. It netted Rs. 11.25 crore on Friday. Collections on the second and third days were Rs. 12.10 crore and Rs. 14.65 crore respectively. In this way, its first weekend concluded at Rs. 38 crore. Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 5 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 4.25 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 3 crore. By netting Rs. 15.75 crore in the weekdays, it took its total for the first week to Rs. 53.75 crore.

Judgementall Hai Kya fell 75% in its second week. The film collected Rs. 0.90 crore on the first day of the second weekend. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 1.55 crore and Rs. 1.90 crore respectively. The second weekend, therefore, ended at Rs. 4.35 crore. It added Rs. 1.85 crore in the weekdays, taking its total for the second week to Rs. 6.20 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 33.05 crore.

The Lion King (animation; dubbed) and the original English version of the same name continued to do well in 3rd week also, netting Rs. 17.05 crore. Its third weekend started at Rs. 1.90 crore. Collections jumped markedly on Saturday (Rs. 4.35 crore) and even more on Sunday (Rs. 6 crore). Therefore, it collected Rs. 12.25 crore in the third weekend. Collections during the weekdays: Monday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.15 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.10 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.05 crore. In other words, the film netted Rs. 4.80 crore in the weekdays. Its total for the third week was, therefore, Rs. 17.05 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 142.72 crore.

Super 30 added Rs. 9.55 crore to its kitty in 4th week. The film, which is SGST-free in many states, netted Rs. 1 crore on the first day of the fourth weekend, Rs. 2.25 crore on the second day, and Rs. 3.25 crore on the third day. Hence, it collected Rs. 6.50 crore in the fourth weekend. It collected Rs. 3.05 crore in the weekdays. Therefore, its total for the fourth week was Rs. 9.55 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 139.42 crore.
