A sessions court in Bombay on 24th September granted anticipatory bail to Aditya Pancholi in the rape case registered against him by Kangana Ranaut on 27th June with the Versova (Bombay) police. The case has charges of rape, extortion and criminal intimidation against the actor. He had to execute a personal bond of Rs. 30,000.
Kangana had alleged that she met Aditya in 2004 and that he raped her in that year while she was on her way back home with him after attending a party where she consumed drinks. She also alleged that he assaulted her physically and mentally and even blackmailed her with her private pictures.
