KARNATAKA, ANDHRA PRADESH ALLOW 100% OCCUPANCY IN CINEMAS | 4 February, 2021

Besides West Bengal and Gujarat, two more states — Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh — have also allowed cinemas to operate at 100% capacity. Like Gujarat and West Bengal, cinemas in the two Southern states will, of course, be required to follow all COVID protocols like social distancing and sanitisation.

The Centre had on 31st January permitted cinemas to work at full capacity with effect from 1st February. However, the ministry of home affairs had made it mandatory for cinemas to seek clearance for 100% occupancy from the respective state governments.
