A case has been registered against Mahesh Manjrekar under sections 292 and 34 of the IPC, section 14 of the POCSO and sections 67 and 67B of the Information Technology Act for allegedly showing obscene scenes involving minor children in Narendra Hirawat’s Marathi film Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nahi Koncha. The court has ordered the Mahim police in Bombay to probe the matter.
The film’s producers, Narendra and Shreyans Hirawat, were also named as accused in the case.
