The Thane magistrate’s court recently rejected the bail application of Marathi TV actress Ketaki Chitale who was arrested for posting derogatory comments against politician Sharad Pawar on social media. Magistrate B.H. Parmar denied relief to the actress, stating that the crime was of a serious nature.
Ketaki is in judicial custody. The Navi Mumbai police also arrested her in another atrocity case registered against her in 2020.
