That leading C.I. distributors Deepak and Harish (in centre in the picture above) Janiani, and owners of Lokendra cinema in Ratlam, Prem (on the right in the photograph) and Prakash Lakhani (on left in picture), are close to each other and have family relations with one another is common knowledge in the C.I. trade.
Yesterday (June 1) happened to be the 22nd wedding anniversary of Prakash Lakhani. The film running at Lokendra cinema on 1st June was the Janianis’ Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Exactly 22 years ago, on the day Prakash had gotten married, it was the Janianis’ Kya Kehna! which was being screened at Lokendra.
If that’s not a good enough coincidence, wait for more. Prem Lakhani had gotten married on 28th December, 1996. On that day, the film which was playing at Lokendra was Raja Hindustani, distributed in C.I. circuit by the Janianis. And on his silver wedding anniversary (on 28th December, 2021), the film which was showing at Lokendra was Pushpa: The Rise Part 1 (dubbed), again distributed by the Janiani family.
