Two days after the Bombay city crime branch arrested two men for allegedly planting drugs on actress Chrisann Pereira, who was arrested by Sharjah authorities on April 1, she was released. Her release on April 26 came soon after the crime branch arrested Paul Anthony and Rajesh Bobhate (Ravi) in Bombay. The two allegedly framed her by sending her to Sharjah on the pretext of an audition for a web series because Anthony held a grudge against her and her mother. The duo planted drugs in the cavity of a trophy they asked her to carry.
Chrisann, who was seen in Sadak 2, went to her cousin’s house in Dubai after her release. The Sharjah authorities will hand over her passport to her today (27th).
