Film producer Suryaveer Singh Bhullar on November 24 filed a complaint with the Oshiwara (Bombay) police against his domestic help, accusing him of stealing silver utensils and ornaments worth Rs. 1.15 lakh and seven watches totally worth Rs. 1.28 lakh from his flat in Lokhandwala Complex. Bhullar learned about the theft on November 22 when he found the valuables missing from his cupboard.
The theft took place between May and November. According to a police officer, “The accused used to visit Bhullar’s flat every day for cleaning.” In his complaint, Bhullar said, “My wife and I reside in Ahmedabad most of the time and visit Bombay for official work. I had appointed Ramsubhag Yadav to take care of my house in our absence.”
A case was registered against Yadav under IPC section 381 (theft by servant). The matter is being investigated.
