The opening of FAST & FURIOUS: HOBBS AND SHAW (English and Hindi dubbed) this week is very good.
Judgementall Hai Kya started slow, picked up very well on the second day, was fairly nice on Sunday, but collections fell fast and furiously during the weekdays. It netted Rs. 4.50 crore on Friday but collections increased more than 50% on Saturday to close the day at Rs. 6.90 crore. The jump in collections on Sunday was just 10% over Saturday’s total. By netting Rs. 7.60 crore on the third day, the film closed its first weekend at Rs. 19 crore. Collections during the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.05 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.85 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.70 crore. The total for the weekdays was Rs. 7.85 crore. The first week, therefore, closed at Rs. 26.85 crore.

Arjun Patiala met with a disastrous fate except in some centres of East Punjab and Delhi-U.P., where it did fairly well. It started off with a take of Rs. 1.25 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday (Rs. 1.60 crore) and Sunday (Rs. 2 crore) were hardly anything to shout about. The first weekend closed at Rs. 4.85 crore. The film was barely able to hold itself together during the weekdays as the public reports were poor. It netted Rs. 0.50 crore on Monday, Rs. 0.45 crore on Tuesday, Rs. 0.40 crore on Wednesday, and Rs. 0.35 crore on Thursday. By netting Rs. 1.70 crore in the weekdays, the film took its total for the first week to Rs.6.55 crore.

Moksh To Maya proved an unmitigated flop in the first week.
The Lion King (animation; dubbed) and the original English version of the same name continued to score in 2nd week. It joined the Rs. 100-crore club on the 10th day. It collected Rs. 5.25 crore on Friday. Collections jumped to Rs. 12 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 14.50 crore on Sunday. In this way, its second weekend closed at Rs. 31.75 crore! Collections during the weekdays were also good: Monday – Rs. 3.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.10 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.75 crore. By netting Rs. 12.35 crore in the weekdays, it took its 2nd week’s total to Rs. 44.10 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 125.67 crore.

Super 30 held sway at the ticket-windows in the third week also. Like it netted 50% of the first week’s collections in its second week, it netted 50% of the second week’s collections in its third week. The third weekend started with Rs. 2.15 crore on Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 4.40 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 5.50 crore on Sunday. After a weekend total of Rs. 12.05 crore, the film collected Rs. 1.50 crore on each of the four weekdays. In other words, it added Rs. 6 crore to its kitty in the weekdays and thereby took its third week’s total to Rs. 18.05 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 129.87 crore.

Spider-Man: Far From Home (dubbed) and the English original of the same name collected Rs. 1.10 crore in its fourth weekend, and Rs. 0.48 crore during the weekdays. In this way, it netted Rs. 1.58 crore in the fourth week. Total for 4 weeks: Rs. 85.04 crore.

Article 15 added Rs. 1.05 crore to its kitty in 5th week and thereby took its grand total to Rs. 64.61 crore.

Kabir Singh collected Rs. 2.71 crore in 6th week and took its grand total to Rs. 276.96 crore.

The Lion King (animation; dubbed) and the English original of the same name as well as the other dubbed versions did phenomenally well in the first week. It took a flying start with a net collection of Rs. 11.06 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday took one of the best jumps for a film which started off in double-digit crores – it netted Rs. 19.15 crore! The figure for Sunday was even higher – Rs. 24.54 crore. After a weekend of Rs. 54.75 crore, collections were very good during the weekdays too: Monday – Rs. 7.90 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 7.02 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 6.25 crore, Thursday Rs. 5.65 crore. In this way, it added Rs. 26.82 crore to its kitty in the weekdays and took its total for the first week to Rs. 81.57 crore. It should join the Rs. 100-crore club this week.

Super 30 fell a little more than 50% in 2nd week. It joined the 100-crore club on day 11. The second weekend started well with a take of Rs. 4.50 crore on Friday. Collections almost doubled on Saturday which closed at Rs. 8.50 crore. The Sunday figure was Rs. 11 crore. In this way, the second weekend closed at Rs. 24 crore. Collections during the weekdays were also steady at medium level: Monday – Rs. 3.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.15 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.10 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.80 crore. By adding Rs. 12.30 crore in the weekdays, the film took its second week’s total to Rs. 36.30 crore. Its grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 111.82 crore.

Collections increased to Rs. 1.45 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 1.75 crore on Sunday. After a third weekend of Rs. 3.85 crore, it netted the following in the weekdays: Monday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.30 crore. It, therefore, collected Rs. 1.45 crore in the weekdays. Its total for the third week was Rs. 5.30 crore. Its grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 83.46 crore.

Article 15 netted Rs. 0.40 crore on the first day of the fourth weekend, Rs. 0.80 crore on the second day, and Rs. 1.10 crore on the third day. The fourth weekend, therefore, closed at Rs. 2.30 crore. Collections on each of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were Rs. 0.30 crore while on Thursday, the collection figure totalled Rs. 0.25 crore. The fourth week, therefore, closed at Rs. 3.45 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 63.56 crore.

Kabir Singh fared well in its fifth week too. It collected Rs. 1.03 crore on Friday, Rs. 1.65 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 2.30 crore on Sunday. In other words, the total for its fifth weekend was Rs. 4.98 crore. Collections during the weekdays were as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – Rs. 0.80 crore each, Thursday – Rs. 0.72 crore. By adding Rs. 3.12 crore in the weekdays, the film took its fifth week’s total to Rs. 8.10 crore. Grand total for 5 weeks: Rs. 274.25 crore.
