ALLU ARJUN, ‘PUSHPA 2’ PRODUCERS, DIRECTOR GIVE RS. 2 CRORE TO STAMPEDE VICTIM | 26 December, 2024

Actor Allu Arjun’s producer-father, Allu Arvind, on December 25 gave a cheque of Rs. 2 crore as compensation to the eight-year-old boy, Sritej, who was grievously injured in the December 4 stampede outside Sandhya cinema in Hyderabad during the premiere of the actor’s Telugu film, Pushpa: The Rule Part 2. Sritej’s mother, Revathi, died in the stampede. The boy is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city.

Allu Arvind told the media that son Allu Arjun had donated Rs. 1 crore, the film’s producers had contributed Rs. 50 lakh, and writer-director Sukumar had also given Rs. 50 lakh.

The total amount of Rs. 2 crore was handed over to Sritej’s family by Dil Raju, chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation. Producer Y. Ravi Shankar and Dil Raju accompanied Allu Arjun to the hospital where Sritej is undergoing treatment. According to Dil Raju, “Sritej has been doing well without oxygen support for the last 72 hours.”
