AT LONG LAST… CINEMAS SET TO REOPEN IN RAJASTHAN! | 31 January, 2021

Cinemas in the state of Rajasthan are all set to reopen from February 8. Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted a little over an hour back today (January 31) that in view of the declining coronavirus cases in the state, cinemas will be permitted to reopen from February 8. Reportedly, cinemas will have to work at 50% seating capacities. A notification to this effect is yet to be issued but the fact that the chief minister has tweeted about the impending reopening says it all.

It may be underlined that Rajasthan was among the very few states in the country which did not give permission to cinemas to restart after the pandemic lockdown as cases of coronavirus were very high in the state in October and November, when cinemas in most other states of the country were reopening.
