‘BOMB’ DROPPED FROM ‘LAXMMI BOMB’, IT’S NOW JUST ‘LAXMII’ | 29 October, 2020

The title of Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb has now been changed to Laxmii. While the word ‘Bomb’ has been dropped from the title, the spelling of the proper noun has also been changed.

The film was shown to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) today (29th October). Following the screening, the producers had a discussion with the CBFC officials and agreed to drop the ‘Bomb’ word from the title in keeping with the sentiments of some people who had raised an objection to the title. The spelling of the first word was also altered. The film is directed by Raghava Lawrence for producers Akshay Kumar, Shabinaa Khan and Tusshar Kapoor. It stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani. The horror-comedy, made under the banners of Cape Of Good Films, Shabinaa Entertainment and Tusshar Entertainment House, is scheduled to premiere on 9th November on Disney+ Hotstar.
