‘ROSY MA’AM I LOVE YOU’ REVIEW | 26 April, 2024

Atrangii and Woh Wali Film’s Rosy Ma’am I Love You (A) is a story about infatuation.

Rosy (Priya Mishra) is a new teacher in the school. James (Siddhesh Rawle) gets infatuated by her. What’s more, Rosy madam starts living on rent in James’ house. James’ family willingly gives a portion of the house to Rosy madam to live, in the hope that James would become more serious about his studies if she stays in the same house. Although James is infatuated by Rosy madam, she is initially unaware of her student’s feelings for her. One day, Rosy brings her boyfriend home. This doesn’t go down well with James for obvious reasons. What happens thereafter?

Rajkumar Jhangare has written a story which is quite predictable. His screenplay is mostly dull and interesting at a few places only. Several portions are boring and some scenes also look contrived. Frankly, the effort to make the drama titillating is so obvious that the screenplay loses its seriousness and becomes more frivolous than anything else. At a number of places, the screenplay becomes sleazy, which may be liked by the frontbenchers but won’t find much favour with the other sections of the audience. Jhangare’s dialogues are poor.

Priya Mishra does an ordinary job as Rosy madam. Siddhesh Rawle is average in the role of James. Suhana Khan is so-so as Sulbha. Rohit Shree passes muster as Anthony. Others lend dull support.

Ajay Veermal’s direction is quite poor. Shobhit Singh’s camerawork is below the mark. Arun Prajapati and Deepak Mahato’s editing leaves something to be desired.

On the whole, Rosy Ma’am I Love You is a dull fare.
