COURT TO HEAR SALMAN’S APPEAL IN BLACK BUCK POACHING CASE IN SEPTEMBER | 29 July, 2025

The Rajasthan high court in Jodhpur will hear on September 22 the appeal of actor Salman Khan against his conviction in the black buck poaching case. The trial court on April 5, 2018 convicted the actor and sentenced him to five years’ jail. On the same day, the high court will also hear the Leave to Appeal filed by the Rajasthan government agaisnt acquittal of the co-accused in the case, viz. Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendra, Neelam and a local guy, Dushyant Singh.

Both the petitions were clubbed and listed together following the transfer of Salman’s appeal from the district and sessions court to the high court. The prosecution’s counsel, Mahipal Bishnoi, said that Khan’s lawyers had earlier filed a transfer petition in the high court against his sentence so that his appeal could be clubbed with the appeal filed by the state.
