The Enforcement Directorate (ED) recently interrogated director Puri Jagannadh and producer Charmee Kaur over the funding of their Liger. The ED had information that the funds for the film’s making came from abroad. The agency wanted to check whether the funding was done in violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). There are also rumours that the film was partly funded by politicians with their black money.
Jagannadh and Charmee were questioned for 12 hours each.
