Firdausul Hasan (from Calcutta) was elected president of the Film Federation of India at the first meeting of its new executive committee, held on 19th November in Goa. Ravi Kottarakara, T.P. Aggarwal, G. Suresh Kumar, Ishari K. Ganesh, Abhay Kumar Sinha, Sakshi Mehra, N.M. Suresh, K. Anupam Reddy and Meghraj Rajebhosale were elected vice presidents whereas C. Kalyan and Dharmindra Mehra were elected hon. general secretaries. Sangram Shirke was elected hon. treasurer.
Dharmindra Mehra proposed that C. Kalyan, T.P. Aggarwal and Ravi Kottarakara be made chief patrons of the FFI. The idea was agreed by all the members.
The new office bearers will assume office with effect from the new year.
