Actress Gehana Vasisth’s plea for pre-arrest bail, which was filed last week in the Bombay high court, was taken up for hearing on August 24 by a bench of Justices S.S. Shinde and N.J. Jamadar. Her counsel told the court that Gehana had earlier been in custody for four months in two separate FIRs related to the same pornography case, and was out on bail, but the Bombay police was seeking to arrest her again in a third FIR related to the case.
The pre-arrest bail plea states that there is no need for her custodial interrogation anymore. Furthermore, her plea says that she was already under stringent conditions imposed by the sessions court when it granted her bail in the earlier FIRs.
