The Bombay high court on January 18 reserved its order on Kangana Ranaut’s petition that the defamation complaint filed against her by writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar be heard along with her complaint against him. Javed had filed a complaint against the actress as he was aggrieved by her remarks to a television news channel in 2020. Kangana filed a cross-complaint.
The Dindoshi sessions court in Bombay had stayed proceedings in her complaint. Justice Prakash Naik will pronounce the judgement on February 2.
