The Bombay high court on December 14 stayed a criminal case against Shilpa Shetty and husband Raj Kundra for non-payment of TDS in their company. The order was passed by a bench of Justices S.S. Shinde and M.S. Karnik on an urgent plea by the couple.
Shilpa and Raj petitioned the high court after summons were issued by a magistrate in Bombay in two cases of delay in TDS payment by Best Deals TV Pvt. Ltd. which ran a home shopping channel, against the two of them and a third director.
