The Malad (Bombay) police on 20th October registered a case against actor Kamaal R. Khan for indulging in attacks based on religion over social media. The charges were pressed by Yuva Sena member Rahul Kanal. In his statement to the police, Kanal said that Kamaal had been making distasteful statements about certain Bollywood stars on Twitter. In his review of a film, Khan allegedly made remarks intended to spread hatred among communities, Rahul Kanal added in his complaint.
A case under provisions of the Indian Penal Code and Information Technology Act has been registered against Kamaal.
