KANGANA SEEKS QUASHING OF F.I.R. OVER FARMER PROTEST REMARK | 10 December, 2021

Kangana Ranaut has approached the Bombay high court with a petition to quash an FIR against her for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of the Sikh community through her social media posts. The Khar (Bombay) police had registered the FIR for an offence under section 295A of the IPC, on a complaint filed by Bombay-based businessman Amarjit Singh Sandhu on November 23.

On November 21, two days after the announcement to repeal the three controversial farm laws, Kangana had posted a story on the farmer protests, on her Instagram handle. The actress’ petition says that no case had been made out against her.
