Singer Kanika Kapoor finally tested negative yesterday (5th April) for coronavirus. This was the sixth test on Kanika who was quarantined at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow on 20th March after being detected for COVID-19. She tested positive four times. Her fifth test on 4th April showed her free of the virus but the doctors at the hospital wanted to be sure and conducted one more test which showed that she had been cured. She was discharged from hospital on 5th.
Kanika Kapoor now needs to be worried about the three FIRs which have been filed against her on charges of negligence for attending various social events in Lucknow despite being infected with coronavirus and having been instructed by the authorities to isolate herself at her home. She had returned from London to Bombay on 15th March and then flew to Lucknow where her parents live. In Lucknow, she had partied despite the government advisory to passengers returning from abroad to self-quarantine.
