Lata Mangeshkar, who was hospitalised for pneumonia on 11th November, is recuperating at Breach Candy Hospital in Bombay although her condition is still serious. The legendary singer is on ventilator but her condition has been described as stable by her family.
The 90-year-old singer was admitted to hospital after she complained of breathlessness. She was diagnosed with pneumonia on admission. She was put in the ICU and, according to her family members, it may take a week for her to recover. The nightingale of India, who has lent her voice to more than 25,000 songs in Hindi and regional languages, is under the treatment of Dr. Pratit Samdani. According to a press release issued by her family on 12th, “Being a singer, her lung capacity has pulled her through. Her parameters are good.”
