Released last week in Bombay, Delhi-U.P. and East Punjab, The Only Godess Production’s Lomad (A) is about two school-friends who meet after more than a decade. They had had an affair while in school, but each of them is now married to someone else. In fact, the lady and the man are like strangers when they meet after such a long gap. They decide to create some magical moments but things rarely happen the way one wants them to happen. Will their romance rekindle? Will they both jeopardise their respective marriages?
Hemwant Tiwari has written a story which is hardly able to hold the audience’s attention. His screenplay is slow-paced and boring. Even his dialogues are dull.
Hemwant Tiwari is ill at ease. Auroshikha Dey is ordinary. Others barely pass muster.
Hemwant Tiwari’s direction is very weak. Supratim Bhol’s camerawork is average. Ritika Nigam’s art direction hardly deserves separate mention. Editing is loose.
On the whole, Lomad is a disastrous fare.
