MAHARASHTRA CURFEW SPARES CINEMAS | 24 December, 2021

The fresh curfew imposed in Maharashtra from today (24th December) in view of the fear of the spread of the Omicron variant of the Coronavirus has spared cinemas. The government notification, which seeks to impose curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., has, thankfully not touched film screenings which will continue at 50% capacity. The restrictions, expected to last for the Christmas and New year festival celebration days, are basically for gatherings of more than five persons in public places (other than cinemas, gymnasiums, etc.) during the curfew hours.
