For Aditya Sarpotdar (standing fourth from left in the picture), the director of super-hit Munjya, it was an emotional evening when his colleagues from the Marathi film industry came to wish him on the runaway success of his maiden Hindi film. The party on 22nd June was hosted by Om Raut (standing third from left in the picture), and attended by Ravi Jadhav, Sameer Vidwans, Nipun Dharmadhikari, Laxman Utekar, Rajesh Mapuskar, Avinash Arun, Tejas Deoskar, Jayprad Desai, Nikhil Mahajan and Dnyanesh Zoting.
The celebration party felt more like a family reunion, said Aditya Sarpotdar who has directed Marathi films since 16 years. He added, “Several accomplished filmmakers from the Marathi film industry, who are now creating remarkable content in Hindi, organised a success party for Munjya, which touched me profoundly. This event was more than just a recognition of my film’s success; it was a testament to the unity and camaraderie that characterises our film industry. Some of these filmmakers have been with me since I took my first steps into the world of cinema while others have become cherished colleagues and friends whom I met along the way. Despite the diversity of our paths, our bond and mutual respect have only strengthened over the years. I am deeply touched and grateful.”
