A physiotherapist in Bombay has sent the makers of web series Aarya a legal notice, alleging that a dialogue in it was derogatory to the fraternity of physiotherapists and would demoralise students taking up the profession. The allegedly derogatory dialogue is one in which an actor refers to a physiotherapist as a compounder. The notice, sent by Dr. Malvika S. Batavia, has sought an unconditional apology from the makers to the fraternity and removal of the dialogue from the series, failing which she would take recourse to legal action. The producers described the claim as incorrect and legally untenable.
