‘RRR’ TO HAVE DELAYED OTT PREMIERE | 10 December, 2021

Jayantilal Gada, who holds not just the non-South India theatrical rights of S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR but also its electronic, satellite and digital rights, is clear that he will not have the film streaming on an OTT platform in a haste. Gada said at the film’s trailer launch function on 9th December in Bombay that there would be a gap of 75 to 90 days between the film’s release in cinemas and on OTT. This, he explained, was because he was sure that the public would want to experience the movie extravaganza on the big screen. “Hence, we will not opt for an OTT premiere after four weeks of theatrical release, as is the norm post-COVID,” concluded Jayantilal Gada.

It may be mentioned here that there is great anticipation for the film starring NTR Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgan and Alia Bhatt. The YouTube views of its trailer are unprecedented.
