SALMAN KHAN GRANTED EXEMPTION IN BLACK BUCK POACHING CASE, NEXT HEARING ON January 16, 2021 | 1 December, 2020

The Jodhpur district and sessions court today (1st December) granted Salman Khan exemption from marking attendance in the court in the black buck hunting and Arms Act cases. The next date of hearing has been fixed for 16th January, 2021. The court has ordered Salman to appear in the court on that date.

Salman’s advocate cited COVID-19 spread in Bombay as well as Jodhpur as the reason for Salman not being able to attend the hearing today.

The court is hearing the appeal of the actor against a verdict of April 2018, that sentenced him to five years in jail in the poaching case. Salman appealed in the district and sessions court in Jodhpur against the punishment. At the same time, the state government challenged the decision to acquit the actor in the Arms Act case. Both the cases were to be heard today.
