A Bombay court today (27th July) sent Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra, to judicial custody for 14 days in the pornography case in which he was arrested by the crime branch of Bombay police on 19th July. He had been named as the key conspirator in the production and uploading of pornographic films on some apps. The police had earlier told the court that Kundra had plans to sell 119 adult films to a person for $1.2 million.
Kundra had moved the court for bail, which application will be heard tomorrow (28th).
The police said that during the probe into the case, it was found that Raj Kundra had set up Armsprime Media Pvt. Ltd., which, through London-based Kenrin Pvt. Ltd., bought the Hotshots app to upload pornographic videos on social media. The police also claimed to have found 51 obscene videos during searches at the office of Kundra.
Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty reportedly broke down when the crime branch raided her house in connection with the same case. She told the police that she was unaware of her husband’s activities. It is also reported that the day the crime branch visited Kundra and Shilpa’s house for searching, Shilpa and Raj had a terrible argument. Shilpa is said to have asked Raj why he had needed to indulge in pornography. The crime branch officials had to reportedly intervene and pacify Shilpa.
