Actor Allu Arjun appeared virtually before the Nampally court in Hyderabad on December 27 as his 14-day remand in the Sandhya cinema stampede case ended. The court granted Allu permission to appear virtually considering the potential security challenges that might have arisen from his physical presence.
A woman was killed in the stampede at the cinema on December 4 during the premiere of Allu’s Telugu film, Pushpa: The Rule Part 2. Her young son was grievously injured and is still in hospital.
During the proceedings on December 27 in the court of IX additional chief metropolitan magistrate, the public prosecutors requested for time till December 30 to file their arguments. Meanwhile, the II additional metropolitan sessions judge scheduled the regular bail hearing for December 30, when the actor may be asked to appear in person.
