Veteran costume designer of Tamil film,s Govindaraj K., who designed costumes for many stars and more than 65 films, breathed his last yesterday morning (24th March) in Madras due to an age-related illness. He was 82. His last rites were performed the same evening.
Govindaraj had a great sense of colour and trendy designs. In a career spanning over two decades, he designed the costumes for many films starring Ajith Kumar and Vijay. He was also the personal costume designer for actors like Ramarajan, Kanaga and Sangeetha, among others. He was associated with Super Good Films and directors K.S. Ravikumar, Vikraman, Rajakumaran and others.
