Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah has announced Sunshine Pictures Pvt. Ltd.’s The Kerala Story, to be written and directed by Sudipto Sen. It deals with the subject of women trafficking in Kerala. As per statistics, more than 32,000 ladies have been trafficked from Hindu and Christian communities in Kerala and Mangalore and forcibly converted to Islam, and the problem still persists.
