Producer Vir Chopra, brother of producer-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, passed away yesterday (6th July) of COVID-19. He is said to have got infected by the virus while he was in the Maldives. He was in hospital for 21 days. He was working with Vinod Chopra during the making of films like 3 Idiots and Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Vir was the husband of sound designer Namita Nayak Chopra and the father of actor Abhay (Vicky) Chopra.
