A 27-year-old man was recently shot at a couple of times by an unknown person during a show of Kannada film K.G.F. Chapter 2 at Rajashree cinema in Haveri (Karnataka). The victim, who was rushed to hospital after the incident, is out of danger.
According to the local police, Vasanth Kumar had come to watch the film along with friends. He had an argument with another person seated in front of him because he (Vasanth Kumar) had put his legs on the front seat, something which did not go well with the person occupying that seat. A heated argument between the two ensued following which the person seated in front of the victim left the auditorium. He returned with a pistol and fired one round in the air, and two more rounds at the victim. There was commotion in the cinema as screaming patrons rushed out of the auditorium. The police reached the cinema and shifted the victim to hospital. The shooter is still at large.
