An FIR was lodged against actor Ajaz Khan and six others for allegedly assaulting the director of a fashion show and a male model at an auditorium at Vashi in New Bombay on 30th April. Khan, who was scheduled to walk the ramp, got annoyed on not being provided a separate dressing room. He allegedly started filming the female models near their changing room, sang songs and made obscene gestures at them. He manhandled the show director, Sam Abdul Shikur Khan, and pushed model Pankaj Kumar who sustained a burn injury from a hot iron. After hurling abuses and threatening event organiser Deepshikha Choudhary, Ajaz Khan and his friends created a ruckus and left.
The actor as also his associates are untraceable. They have been booked under the relevant IPC sections for unlawful assembly, rioting, obscene act in a public place, voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation.
