Film marketing and advertising professional Arun Tyagi has filed an FIR against three con persons for swindling him of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of financing a film project starring Amitabh Bachchan. The Amboli (Bombay) police have booked Santosh Parab, Paresh Rao and his wife, Seema Rao. The three were earlier booked by the D.N. Nagar police in Bombay on a complaint by home buyers Lloyd Tellis and Shailesh Hegde who were both promised flats at rates much lower than the market rate. Paresh Rao is in D.N. Nagar police’s custody while the two others are absconding.
Arun Tyagi told the police that he had met Parab in October 2016. Parab introduced Tyagi to the Rao couple. Paresh then allegedly claimed that their company, CMA Creations, was producing Nuclear, starring Amitabh Bachchan, and with Ram Gopal Varma working as the creative director. Soon, Arun Tyagi got interested in the project. Emails were exchanged. Parab demanded Rs. 55 lakh from Tyagi for publishing ads of the film in a popular newspaper. But when there was no progress on the film for a long time, Arun Tyagi asked Parab to return the money. He returned Rs. 42 lakh but they still owe him Rs. 13.21 lakh.
