Two unknown assailants fired rounds outside the residence of actress Disha Patani in Bareilly on 12th September. Disha’s father heard his dog barking when two motorbike-borne men stopped outside his house. Sensing that something was wrong, Jagdish Patani, a retired DSP of Uttar Pradesh police, came out and confronted them. The two men, wearing helmets, started firing indiscriminately at him.
According to Jagdish Patani, “My police reflexes instantly kicked in and I dodged the bullets. That may have saved my life.”
