The streets of Guwahati wore a barren look today (20th September) as shops and offices in the city remained closed to mourn the untimely demise of the “son of Assam”, singer Zubeen Garg. The singer, lyricist, composer, writer, producer, director and hero died in Singapore yesterday (19th) when he suffered a seizure attack while swimming. He had gone there to perform at the fourth North East India Festival which had to be cancelled following his unfortunate death.
