Assamese film Kanchanjangha, which opened on 6th September in Assam, is still doing great business. The first week’s net collections totalled Rs. 2.90 crore while the second week’s total was Rs. 1.70 crore.
The highest collection ever recorded by any film in Assam circuit is Rs. 5 crore and that was in the case of Bahubali 2: The Conclusion (dubbed). Kanchanjangha is bound to surpass the collection of Bahubali 2: The Conclusion. Interesting to note that while Bahubali 2: The Conclusion was released all over Assam circuit including outside the state of Assam, Kanchanjangha has been released only in Assam state. Yet, it will surpass the dubbed film’s collections!
