Madhur Bhandarkar’s presence of mind saved a minor fire incident from turning into a catastrophe on 20th December at socialite Queenie Dhody’s birthday party. Lawyer and social activist Abha Singh’s dress caught fire from a burning candle at the party. Filmmaker Bhandarkar was quick to put off the fire with his hands. Although his hands got a little burnt, a major accident was averted.
