A sessions court in Bombay granted film producer Manish Trehan and his brother-in-law anticipatory bail in an October 2024 case of alleged fraud of Rs. 2.50 crore. As per the victim, who is a businessman from Khar (Bombay), Trehan took a loan from him for business expansion and a film for OTT, and promised to return the same with interest, in a year, but failed to do so. Manish Trehan has produced films, and web series like Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega.
The court noted that most of the investigation had been completed and hence the accused’s custodial interrogation was unnecessary.
