Noted theatre producer and film publicist Manhar Gadia passed away on 17th November in Bombay after suffering a brain haemmorhage. He was 67. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Manhar was hospitalised on 13th November and he slipped into a coma after suffering a brain haemmorhage due to some complications.
Known for spotting new talent, Gadia produced plays in Gujarati, Hindi and English. Many of his plays became very popular. Among his well-known plays were ‘A Suitable Bride’, ‘Gandhi Viruddh Gandhi’, ‘Sir Sir Sarla’, ‘7 x 3 = 21’, ‘Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo’, ‘Shyam Rang’, Tea Coffee Or Me’ and ‘Same Time As Usual’.
